Mid-Winter Warmth: The Soup Bowl

Throw a deep, heat-retaining soup bowl — Sunday 26 July, 2–4pm

105 New Zealand dollars
The Potters' Roost

Service Description

Nothing says winter like a steaming bowl of homemade soup. In this wheel-throwing session, you'll learn to throw deep, thick-walled bowls designed to retain heat. We'll focus on creating sturdy, generous forms that are as functional as they are beautiful — the kind of vessel that makes every winter meal feel special. Part of our Sunday Series: Mid-Winter Warmth — three Sunday afternoons of slow, intentional making. Book one or all three. Suitable for beginners. All materials, tools, and firing included. Your finished piece will be ready to collect within 2–3 weeks.

Cancellation Policy

At The Potters' Roost, we keep our class sizes small to ensure everyone receives quality guidance and enough space to create. Because we are a social enterprise, every booking directly supports our community programs. 1. Course & Workshop Cancellations 7 Days or More Notice: We offer a full refund (minus a $15 admin fee) or a rebooking for a future course. 48 Hours to 7 Days Notice: We offer a 50% refund or a rebooking. Less than 48 Hours Notice: No refunds or credits can be issued, as it is difficult to fill your spot at such short notice. However, you are welcome to send a friend in your place! Missed classed and no-shows cannot be refunded. 2. "Catch-Up" Sessions (For 6-Week Courses) We understand that life happens—illness, family, or work can get in the way. We do offer formal "make-up" classes with a tutor, once a month on a Thursday evening to catch-up on what you missed. 3. If We Cancel In the rare event that we have to cancel a class due to tutor illness or low enrolment, you will be offered a full refund or a priority transfer to the next available date.
