Service Description
In this intermediate 2.5-hour session, you will tackle a hand building milestone by constructing a slab-built ceramic teapot from scratch. This class is tailored for intermediate potters looking to stretch their skills, conquer multi-part assemblies, and understand the physics behind a perfectly balanced, functional pour. To celebrate the final week of our Tea Ritual series, Carol Fox from Foxy Tea Shop will be back in the studio. Carol will share how she creates her small-batch unique blends and serve up hot samples of her handcrafted organic teas to fuel your making session. Best of all, her retail pop-up table will be open throughout the afternoon, so you can take home her signature blends. What You Will Learn & Do: Slab Engineering: Construct a teapot body and securely attach a handle. Spout Mechanics: Shape and align a custom spout designed to prevent drips and pour smoothly. Step-by-Step Guidance: Clear, structured instructions provided throughout the process. Tea Tasting: Enjoy premium local blends and explore the unique flavor notes behind Carol's signature recipes. What is Included: All clay, tools, glazes, and firing services. Complimentary tea tastings from Foxy Tea Shop, plus a retail selection available for purchase. Your finished, food-safe ceramic teapot (available for pickup 3-4 weeks after firing).

Cancellation Policy
At The Potters' Roost, we keep our class sizes small to ensure everyone receives quality guidance and enough space to create. Because we are a social enterprise, every booking directly supports our community programs. 1. Course & Workshop Cancellations 7 Days or More Notice: We offer a full refund (minus a $15 admin fee) or a rebooking for a future course. 48 Hours to 7 Days Notice: We offer a 50% refund or a rebooking. Less than 48 Hours Notice: No refunds or credits can be issued, as it is difficult to fill your spot at such short notice. However, you are welcome to send a friend in your place! Missed classed and no-shows cannot be refunded. 2. "Catch-Up" Sessions (For 6-Week Courses) We understand that life happens—illness, family, or work can get in the way. We do offer formal "make-up" classes with a tutor, once a month on a Thursday evening to catch-up on what you missed. 3. If We Cancel In the rare event that we have to cancel a class due to tutor illness or low enrolment, you will be offered a full refund or a priority transfer to the next available date.
