Service Description
In this intermediate 2.5-hour session, you will tackle a hand building milestone by constructing a slab-built ceramic teapot from scratch. This class is tailored for intermediate potters looking to stretch their skills, conquer multi-part assemblies, and understand the physics behind a perfectly balanced, functional pour. What You Will Learn & Do: Slab Engineering: Construct a teapot body and securely attach a handle. Spout Mechanics: Shape and align a custom spout designed to prevent drips and pour smoothly. Step-by-Step Guidance: Clear, structured instructions provided throughout the process. What is Included: All clay, tools, glazes, and firing services. Your finished, food-safe ceramic teapot (available for pickup 3-4 weeks after firing).

At The Potters' Roost, we keep our class sizes small to ensure everyone receives quality guidance and enough space to create. Because we are a social enterprise, every booking directly supports our community programs. 1. Course & Workshop Cancellations 7 Days or More Notice: We offer a full refund (minus a $15 admin fee) or a rebooking for a future course. 48 Hours to 7 Days Notice: We offer a 50% refund or a rebooking. Less than 48 Hours Notice: No refunds or credits can be issued, as it is difficult to fill your spot at such short notice. However, you are welcome to send a friend in your place! Missed classed and no-shows cannot be refunded. 2. "Catch-Up" Sessions (For 6-Week Courses) We understand that life happens—illness, family, or work can get in the way. We do offer formal "make-up" classes with a tutor, once a month on a Thursday evening to catch-up on what you missed. 3. If We Cancel In the rare event that we have to cancel a class due to tutor illness or low enrolment, you will be offered a full refund or a priority transfer to the next available date.
